Will We Stand?

Written By David E. Young , 2003
The rhetoric is strong now
To go to other lands,
Destroy their leaders, take their oil,
And kill upon command.

Men have always wanted
To rule this world of ours.
And just as always, once again,
History's time-line gars.

Foolishness leads such men
To kill without remorse.
If there is not a true good reason,
They make one up of course!

"Their leader's bad," the warmonger
Shouts above the roofs,
"Let's take their children and protect
Ourselves," They cry out so aloof,

"Send our fighting men in case
They might protect themselves!"
The biased propaganda lies
Spread quick by media elves,

"After we win, we'll claim that nation
To protect their people!"
Oh, come on, get real, you bastard,
Standing on your steeple!

We, as a people, all through time,
Have fought such tyranny!
Can we stand and let this man
Shape our destiny?

Rise up, oh true Americans,
And tell our president
How the people rule this land,
And his job is THEIR intent.

He vowed, when he swore to us
To do his job so well,
That he would represent our views
Come bad times or come swell.

He broke that oath, and thus his job,
When contradicting us
To push us all to give our children
To his fervent cause.

Will we stand and let this man
Make us the new "bear"?
Do we really all that little
Respect what got us here?

Now has come the time, my friends,
My fellow patriots,
To stand upon the U S A
And not allow this fight!

We stand for freedom, innocence
Until a proof of guilt.
We stand for trusting, giving, caring;
Upon this we are built!

So it's time to show the world
The real America!
Throw down your guns and love thy neighbor,
From New York up to Mecca!
